Ledger : of the City of Richmond (Steamboat), 1942 May 15 - July 2, 7-12, and 1943 April 7.

The City of Richmond was on the West Point, Va. to Baltimore, Md. run from 15 May to 2 July 1942 and on the Norfolk, Va. to Baltimore run from 7 to 12 July 1942 when this ledger was written. The ledger contains two pieces of paper listing the record of clothing shipments loaded (dated 4/7/43, after the logbook date). It also contains an envelope addressed to the "deck watchman" labeled "clothing loaded in baggage room for Old Point, Va." A tide calendar for October 1942 was also found in the logbook.

The City of Richmond traveled from Norfolk, Va. to Baltimore, Md. and back. The steamboat ran on the Old Bay Line (chartered in Maryland in 1939 as part of the Baltimore Steam Packet Company) from 1913 until 1962 when the company ceased operations.
